Despite the wide variety of shows getting votes casted for them, and the large number of ballots this time around, there's very little change at the top of the leaderboard. In fact, with three more votes, "Seinfeld" seems to be pulling away in the lead.  To give you an idea on how far ahead it is, if I counted all the votes for every show, with the words "Star Trek" in the title, and put them together, they'd still be in second place to "Seinfeld', and the original series of "Star Trek", after this round of counting, jumped into the Top 5 as of today. That's the only new big jumper into the leaderboard. "M*A*S*H", "All in the Family" "Cheers", and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively. Now we're still a ways from completing our goal however, and depending on the next ballots that come in, these results can change completely next time.

Well, those are the top page results, now as to how to enter your own ballot. First, let me discuss briefly what we're doing. We're conducting a "Sight & Sound" style poll for television. "Sight & Sound" of course, is the famous film periodical that conducts their poll for the greatest movies of all-time every ten years, we're using their formula, and using it to find the "TEN GREATEST TV SHOWS OF ALL-TIME!" It's not exact, we're taking some liberties, the big one being that anybody can participate, while their polls, only include critics and directors.

Fellow critics and directors, are of course, allowed to participate as well, but anybody can submit their ballots. There's a few ways to do it, all of them, basically involve, contacting me. The first being to post your list in the comment section of this blogpost, below, make sure you write your name, I'm not counting anonymous ballots. You can also post your blog in the comment sections of many of the FB posts I make of this blog, which you can find on my Facebook page, and numerous other film groups and film-related sites all over Facebook. Those are the most common ways, to contact me, you can also tweet your ballot to me, my twitter is @DavidBaruffi_EV, just write that, and start your list.

Now, there's a couple rules to follow but they're pretty simple.

RULE #1: As long as it originated on television, it's eligible for the poll, regardless of genre. Basically, this means that you can pick almost anything. Sitcoms, dramas, reality, documentary, game shows, soap opera, talk shows, news magazines, TV movies, miniseries, animation, children's shows, cables shows, network shows,... as long as it originally aired on television, it's eligible. (ie. you can't vote for "M*A*S*H", the original movie, because that was first shown in movie theaters, but you can vote for "M*A*S*H", the TV series, 'cause that aired on TV)

RULE #2: You must select TEN, and ONLY TEN Shows. No picking more, no picking less.

That's basically it. Try to specific as possible with your choices, a lot of times there was more than one TV show with the same title, so that can a bit tricky, so try to be specific. Check imdb.com before voting if you have to, and look up years if necessary.

Well, let's get some more ballots in everybody! Contribute to this everybody; it's television, we all have an opinion. What are the TEN GREATEST TV SHOWS OF ALL-TIME!
